The U.S. government’s cash-for-clunkers program has been a resounding success. But more needs to be done in order to fulfill the Administration’s aggressive Climate Change agenda. We need a push-for-plug-ins with which to transform the U.S. vehicle fleet.
System Dynamics is an approach to understanding the behavior of complex systems over time. It uses stocks, flows, and feedback loops to simulate the structure of systems—including the many circular, interlocking, and sometimes time-delayed relationships they exhibit.
Emergence is what allows a complex system to become more than the sum of its parts. It’s the outcome of interactions within the systems itself along with the relationship that the system has with its environment. In short, Emergence is what allows order emerge out of chaos.
